Egypt is part of the Mediterranean basin, the world’s top destination area, which attracts one out of every three tourists traveling the World. The Middle East, over the same period, saw arrivals triple to 35.6 million in 2004. Within the region, Egypt has maintained a substantial share of the market, 23 per cent, over the ten-year period.

The popularity of Egypt as a year round holiday destination has prompted international investors and developers to concentrate their efforts in this location. With its unique geographical situation, Egypt attracts visitors from the UK, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and America.
